Leadership Heard - Developing Leaders for Heard's Future

Leadership Heard is a Chamber-driven event is sponsored by Chamber Millenium Members.  It begins with a kick-off session on Team Building to be held at The Lodge at Banning Mills.

Included in the eight sessions are a trip to the State Capitol for a tour and discussion with our district legislators, tour of Georgia Power Economic Development Center in AtlantaGA, tour of local government facilities, presentations from local governments on intergovernmental correlations, SPLOST, tax digest and mil rates process, planning and zoning, 20 year city/county planning, the economic development process, Heard County historical tour, leadership skills and developmental trainings, etc.

Youth Leadership Heard 

Heard Youth Leadership Academy is a bi-annual leadership program for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors.  The program is designed to further achievement in Heard County by making our youth aware of their leadership potential. Through thought-provoking programs, participants obtain a better understanding of themselves, their neighbors and the cultural and economic issues facing Heard County.
